(Digital Image) (Viewed 6th December 2013) Available to view: http://dirtylooks.com My hair inspiration for my final look came from a lesson with my lecturer Seema Chopra and also the promo for Beyonce's 'Mrs Carter's' World Tour. The lesson was about twists. I liked how they are different from the everyday braid used in the Elizabethan era. I wanted the twists to be tight like on the image above to the right. This was because I wanted to create a lot of texture, but keep the hair off of the face to show the high forehead in a contemporary way. The inspiration for the side of the hair piece came from Beyonce's promo for the Mrs Carter World Tour. I liked how the side of the hair was textured and large taking a contemporary twist on the original Elizabethan shape, which would have been either side of the head. |
